Taylor has had an up and down career at KU. After a promising freshman season where he was a key contributor off the bench, Taylor struggled in his sophomore year when many scouts and GMs expected him to really take off after an impressive performance with Team USA.
The St. Anthony’s product has returned for his junior season to establish himself as a point guard in the Jayhawks offense. The results speak for themselves as Taylor has a career high in points, assists, steals and shooting. Offensively, Tyshawn is has great athleticism and speed. He has demonstrated the ability to blow by his defenders .
On defense, Taylor relies on his length at his position as well as his athleticism and speed to jump the lane for steals or aggressively defend his opponents. Either way, it appears Taylor will be handed the reins to the Jayhawks offense and with his upside should be off the board somewhere between 20-40.
